Stables Ranch Grille
Perfectly situated between the beautiful Fountain Courtyard and the famous Island Green is Stables Ranch Grille, the resort's signature restaurant. Named for its historic significance, Stables' rustic dining room and lively bar were favored by Hollywood's most famous western movie stars including John Wayne and Stewart Granger.
In 1996 the resort was again in the limelight, hosting notables Rene Russo and Kevin Costner during the filming of 'Tin Cup'. The gathering place of this fabulous resort hideaway, Stables is known for its simply perfect steaks, fresh fish and unique Mexican specialties. Executive Chef John Wooters creates the menus, directs the kitchen and enjoys planning banquet and specialty wine and tequila dinners. Stables is known throughout the region for its ambiance, cuisine and hospitality.

Chef
Executive Chef John Wooters served a two year apprenticeship under an 'old school' European chef. He was Chef de Cuisine at the prestigious Resort at Squaw Creek and Executive Chef at Montana Avenue, a Fox restaurant concept in Tucson. He joined the Tubac Golf Resort & Spa in 2008 and after a short hiatus has returned as the man in charge of all things delectable.
Rock Room
The resort was built as a ranch for Spanish settlers in the New World and guests of Stables Ranch Grille today walk on the same stone floor as the conquistadors of days gone by.
Lunch at La Cantina
Located just outside the Pro Shop is La Cantina, offering quick bites for golfers and resort guests. La Cantina dishes up early morning bagels and Thomas' famous breakfast burritos, a great hot dog, burgers and an excellent Sonoran spiced chicken sandwich. You can also grab a coffee, a muffin, a granola bar or an apple for a quick hit to get you back out on the golf course in a hurry!
The Bar at Stables features a light bar menu and signature cocktails. Enjoy alfresco dining on the patio overlooking the Island Green and the Santa Rita Mountains. Live entertainment on weekends.
Live Entertainment
As the week winds down and the weekend comes alive, Stables Ranch Grille features live entertainment on the patio at Stables; the perfect location to watch sunset on the Santa Rita Mountains and to cheer golfers as they tee it up on the Island Green.
Hours
Stables Ranch Grille is open seven days a week. Breakfast is served from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., and lunch and dinner is served from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The bar at Stables is open till closing.
Decorum
Reservations are recommended and the dress code is resort casual. Our menu changes seasonally. Please no cell phones, cigars or pipes. A gratuity of 20 percent will be automatically added to your bill for parties of eight (8) or more. For Reservations please call 520-398-2678.
